HELLO!
adam has been giving me extra time in my studio this week to make some spring/summer clothes for suki. i was inspired by this challenge, and thought i would join in. can't wait to share what i am working on. i made the dress suki is wearing in these photos for easter- a very quick sew from a japanese book.

special day
during the month of march suki went to a weekly art camp at our local children's museum. after the last class, they had an opening to showcase the children's work on the walls and in personal portfolios. suki was very excited to share her work with friends and family in such a fun way.
her painting is the fourth over on the left. here she is sharing her portfolio with adam- so proud!
after the show and some play time in the museum, we headed over to a coffee shop for a hot cocoa treat.
then ended our outing with a stop at the flower shop.
she picked tulips- red and orange.

välipalaksi
since suki is vegan she needs to have at least one snack a day, and they need to be nutritious. i have decided to share some of the snacks she likes, and if you have any ideas please send them my way. we like variety, and it is easy to get stuck.
first, suki's favorite-
LIMA BEANS!
you will need:
frozen baby limas
almond milk (or milk of your choice)
salt and pepper (optional)
boil water. cook lima beans for 15 minutes.
strain.
stir in a small splash of milk and one teaspoon coconut oil
add nutritional yeast, salt and pepper to taste.
yummy!

hello, again!
so much time has passed since i last checked in!
we had the best time on our fall road trip, spending time with our family in san francisco,
and los angeles.
suki was thrilled to have some kid time with her cousins.
she loved the rock and mineral collection at the natural history museum. of course!
she was kiki for halloween.
she is now three!
this year, we had a picnic to celebrate our last take out food for a very long time. hurray!
our kitchen remodeling is finished, and we have been cooking/baking up a storm.
suki is working on her knife skills. she is a great kitchen helper.
and the best update of all, suki likes to color now! for hours at a time!!
