happy noodle day!


Spaghetti with Lentil Sauce


½ lb  Spaghetti Noodles
½ c. Red Lentils
1T Olive Oil
8oz. Crushed Tomato
6 Cloves of Garlic
½ lb Chopped Spinach
1T Tomato Paste
1T Yeast Flakes
       Salt and Pepper



Cook noodles according to directions on package, but when you begin boiling the water start the lentils.

Combine ½ cup of red lentils with 1 cup of filtered water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cover for about 25 minutes- until the lentils are cooked.

Press garlic or add minced garlic into the olive oil on medium heat. As the garlic begins to turn golden, add the spinach and tomato paste. Sautee for another minute; then add the crushed tomato and the cooked lentils. Season with cracked pepper, salt, and mix in the flakes.


Simple and super tasty!
